THE FORMER BASS MUSEUM OF BREWING, NOW NAMED THE COORS VISITOR CENTRE IS TO CLOSE IN JUNE!

triangle.jpg

Coors, the company that acquired the breweries of Bass, after Interbrew were forced by the competition commission, to sell a substantial part of their newly expanded estate, acquired in a purchasing coup of both Whitbread and Bass, does not actually own the brand name Bass!

However, along with the brewery buildings, a large part was dedicated to the Bass museum of brewing. The collection held here, much belonging to various owners, has to be seen to be believed.

This is the only comprehensive museum of beer brewing in the country, situated in the most famous brewing town in the world. There is very little working example left of this grand heritage.

Coors have now decided that the museum is losing £1 million a year and must close!

June has been named as the deadline.

Do YOU have any ideas as to how it could be saved?

An idea of the magnitude of the collection.

Just to give some idea of what is actually involved with the operation, here are a few hastily assembled pictures plundered from other websites, if I have caused any offence by publishing any of these pictures, please accept my apologies and contact webmaster at funky parrot com and they will be immediately removed.
